New Lanzarote Ireland Network (LIN) is launched

LIN-Launch

A new Lanzarote Ireland Network ( LIN) has been launched.

It will operate both in Ireland and Lanzarote with an aim to build connectivity, mutual interests and deepen relationships between these two Atlantic islands. As well as building business links, LIN will have a particular interest in developing youth and cultural exchanges.

Catherine Noone has been elected as the new Chairperson of the founding President’s Council, which includes a broad cross-section of interests. On accepting the role Catherine said she was ‘honoured to take up the position’ and is looking forward to growing the already very positive business and tourism links between Ireland and Lanzarote.

Catherine is a former Senator who served with distinction in the Government of Ireland for twelve years. A solicitor by profession, she has property interests on the island and is serving the LIN in an honorary capacity.

She continued, ‘To work, we need to build a broad membership base with real benefits and already our base membership fee of €150 will give more value than your cash outlay. We are both modest in our ambition – and excited with the potential of making a real contribution to building relationships, connecting people and, most important, giving back to our respective communities.’

A particular interest of LIN is working with Lanzarote Tourism in promoting Lanzarote as a ‘premium’ destination in Ireland.
